Bobby Brant (Ryan Wilton), originally from Basingstoke, Hampshire, has lived in Bristol for 14 years. He moved to study Biological Sciences at UWE and later qualified as a Science teacher at the University of Bristol in 2018.
Having prepared a set for his first gig already, Bobby found himself spontaneously attending a 'Sober Spaces' event in St.George (Bristol) one evening. In the interval, they announced there were spaces for more acts, so he decided to put his name down and ended up performing for the first time. The set went on for 14 minutes, and it is safe to say, this had mixed reviews.
He performed his first intentional open mic five minutes at a 'new material night' at Eldon House (Bristol) with Class Act Comedy on 28th November 2024. Having got a taste for stand-up, Bobby has now performed at various locations in Bristol, Bath and the surrounding areas.
This includes:
Kingsdown Vaults, Bristol (This Next Act)
Riff Corner, Clevedon (Class Act Comedy)
The Crafty Egg, Bristol (Broken Mic)
Loco Klub, Bristol (Riot Act)
Saracen's Head, Bath (Big Squash Comedy)
The Jester's, Bath (The Open Mic)
Orchard and Co, Bristol (Sober Spaces)
Eldon House, Bristol (Class Act Comedy)
In October 2025, he began recording a weekly podcast 'My Brain on ADHD'. The podcast intends to spread awareness of the difficulties of ADHD on people's lives with a light comedic tone. It explores his own personal experience of life with the condition.
